Duties and Responsibilities in Computerized Air Travel Operations
  • Flight Reservations: Use computerized systems (GDS) to manage flight bookings, make seat reservations, and issue tickets for passengers.
  • Ticketing and Fare Calculation: Calculate and issue electronic tickets, ensuring accurate pricing and compliance with airline fare rules and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with booking inquiries, changes to travel plans, cancellations, and special requests, ensuring a high level of service.
  • System Updates: Ensure that reservation systems are updated with real-time flight schedules, pricing, and availability to maintain accuracy.
  • Managing Travel Documentation: Provide assistance with travel documents, such as visas, passports, and any required travel health documentation.
  • Handling Cancellations and Refunds: Process cancellations and refunds for tickets, following airline policies and ensuring that clients are informed of any changes.
  • Group and Corporate Travel: Organize group bookings and corporate travel, managing special requirements, large bookings, and complex itineraries.
  • Passenger Communication: Notify passengers of flight changes, delays, or cancellations through automated systems or direct communication.
  • Booking Modifications: Process changes to passenger bookings, including upgrading seats, changing flight dates, or modifying travel routes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all bookings, tickets issued, and changes made to itineraries for future reference or audit purposes.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Adhere to airline rules, industry standards, and regulatory requirements when handling booking systems and passenger data.

Duration
  • 9 MONTHS (theory 2 terms and 1 term or 3 months industrial attachment for Foundation level

  • 4 MONTHS (theory 1 term and 1 term or 3 months industrial attachment for Consultant level
