Key duties of a Flight Dispatcher
- Passenger Services: Assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and flight inquiries, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Baggage Handling: Coordinate the loading, unloading, and transfer of baggage, ensuring it is correctly tagged and delivered to the right destination.
- Ground Operations: Manage ramp services, including marshalling aircraft, refueling, and ensuring timely departure and arrival of flights.
- Airside Safety: Ensure safety regulations are adhered to within airside operations, including monitoring runway and taxiway conditions, and implementing emergency protocols.
- Security Procedures: Oversee security procedures such as baggage screening, passenger screening, and ensuring compliance with airport security regulations.
- Coordination with Airlines: Work with airline staff to ensure on-time departures, resolve operational issues, and manage the boarding process.
- Emergency Response: Respond to any operational emergencies, such as delays, diversions, or accidents, ensuring quick and efficient resolutions.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing complaints, providing information, and ensuring a positive travel experience.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all operational activities, including flight movements, passenger counts, and equipment maintenance logs.

Requirements for entry
- Must be 18 years old
- Certificate: D Plain and Above
- Diploma: C- and above

Certificate : 1 year (theory 3 terms and 1 term or 3 months industrial attachment for Diploma)
Diploma: 2 years
